The cabinet meeting on Tuesday approved a cut in corporate income tax to be effective next year as proposed by the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Finance Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom said.
According to the government policy, corporate income tax will be reduced from 30 percent to 23 percent in 2012, and to 20 percent in 2013, Mr. Boonsong said.

The condominium market is poised for a boom in the second half this year, driven by new demand from new buyers seeking refuge from natural disasters according to leading property developers in Thailand. A larger number of new condominium projects in major destinations like Pattaya, Hua Hin and Phuket will be launched this year as people seek to buy second homes after facing severe floods in Bangkok and other provinces.
